The KJV “GHOST”
This is how we handled “ghost” in this revision.
The word “Ghost” was used by KJV eleven (11) times in the so-called OT. It was used nine (9) times for the Hebrew גוע gawa’ a verb and an ancient euphemism KJV translated as “gave up the ghost.” Twice KJV used “ghost” for נֶפֶשׁ nefesh once in Job 11:20 and once Jeremiah 15:9.

In the so-called NT KJV used “ghost” ninety-two (92) times for the word G4851 which we changed to “spirit.” Six (6) times KJV used “ghost” for these words which we consider the representation for the Hebrew euphemism in Greek:
